Talk to Virgil at the “Court of Fontaine” City to begin the “Aqueous Tidemarks” quest, following which you can begin your undersea trip. After gathering three clues, you will arrive at the Liliacruces Forum. To make progress, you must dive deep to Explore the former site of the Liliacruces Forum.

You must break the seaweed barrier here, but your standard spells and weapons will not work. Instead, search for Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray (white color) nearby. These floating creatures resemble stingrays and hold a bright orb. Get close to them and absorb their powers to break the barrier.
Then you must explore the area to uncover two exquisite chests. One chest is floating in the above, while the other is tied down by seaweed.
There are three seaweed barriers that must be cut around the first chest area. Find them, then cut the barrier with the Fontemer Water Blades. The obstacles will be marked with a luminous green orb, letting you know which one to cut. This will free the first chest.
To get the second chest, you must defeat two Hunter’s Ray in the region. They are in green color. Defeat them to get the 2nd chest for an Ancinet key.
