In Far Cry 6, there are 21 Treasure Hunts. The treasure hunts provide access to a variety of one-of-a-kind weapons required for the Armed to the Teeth trophy or achievement. Treasure hunts are generally small puzzle areas where you must complete a series of steps to gain access to a treasure chest.
“The Mongoose and the Man” is a Treasure Hunt In Far Cry 6. In “The Mongoose and the Man”, a player needs to hunt down a Mongoose to get the access key of the chest. There are no pre-requisites for Treasure Hunts. A player just needs to head the purple treasure hunt icon and need to read the note that starts the treasure hunt.
Starting Location:
The treasure hunt “The Mongoose and the Man” is located in the Costa del Mar sub-region of the Madrugada Region. Go to the purple treasure hunt icon near Lucero Lighthouse on the Costa del Mar’s western coast. I have marked the location on the map. To begin the treasure hunt, read the torn letter posted on the wooden pole. According to the letter, the owner of the house was tormented by the mongooses for a long time, despite taking various measures.
Objectives: Find Alvaro’s stash
To find the mongoose, you must now enter Alvaro’s premises. You can enter by jumping over the fence right next to the letter-carrying pole. You can also shoot the lock on the fenced gate on the southern side.
Head to the second floor of the main wooden building and go to the living room to find a locked stashed chest. This stashed chest requires a stashed key that you can obtain from the mongoose.
Head towards the shed behind the main building and use the key in front of it to open. As you open the door The Mongoose runs away. Chase the mongoose and shoot until it is dead. Obtain the stashed key from the dead mongoose.
Now, head back to the living room of the main building. Open the chest to obtain 100 XP and Lethal Dose (Pistol) as a reward.
