FF7 Rebirth: Tracing the Tracks

This guide shows how to complete the “Tracing the Tracks” objective for Chapter 2 of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, which released on 29th February 2024. You get the objective in the Bill’s Ranch as shown in the picture below.

Follow the Tracks to Piko

After you get the objective, go to the Bill’s Ranch entrance and you will see Piko’s footprints as shown in the picture below. Now you need to follow the footprints to reach Piko. From the entrance, turn left and then follow the path going right to reach Piko as shown in the second picture below. Now, you will have to catch Piko. Crouch and approach Piko. Hide in the bushes and throw a stone behind Piko to distract it. When Piko’s back is turned, approach it and catch it when the prompt appears.
