This guide shows how to get all the collectibles in the ‘Fields’ area in ‘Kena: Bridge of Spirits’. There are a total of 45 collectibles in the Village Heart (25 Rots, 10 Hats, 7 Flower Shrines, 1 Spirit Mail, 2 Cursed Chests).
1) Rot 1/25
This rot is in a small field at the location as shown in the picture below. To get the rot first go to the location southeast of the field as shown below. At this location, you will find a tear. Shoot the mechanism south of the tear and it will throw water on the tear and make it grow into a plant (See the second picture below). Now summon forest tear from the plant and guide it to the small field. Water the field with the forest tear and some vegetables will grow. Rot in underneath one of the vegetables as shown in the third picture below.
2,3) Cursed Chest 1/2 & Rot 2/25
You will get this rot from the cursed chest inside the house at the location shown below. The house entrance is blocked with rocks. Hit the rocks with a bomb to clear the entrance. Then go inside and interact with the cursed chest. Defeat all the enemies within 35 seconds to complete the challenge. Then open the chest to get the rot.
4) Rot 3/25
The rot is inside a house as shown in the picture below. But to get there, first, you need to go inside the house containing water as shown below. Enter the house containing the water by grappling to the blue flower (see the second picture below). Inside the house, you will find a bucket of water. Tilt the bucket to drop the water. Then open the door and guide the water drop outside.
Guide the water droplet to the tear as shown in the picture below. This will make the tear plant grow. Summon forest tear from the plant and guide it to the house containing the rot as shown below.
Cleanse the house entrance with the forest tear. Then go inside the house and grapple to the blue flower inside to reach the opposite end of the house. The rot is under a pot there.
5) Rot 4/25
At the highlighted location you will find a few bombable rocks. Throw a bomb on them to make them levitate. Then jump on the top of the rocks.
Shoot the switch on one of the floating rocks to make it horizontal. Then jump to the top of the rock.
From the top of the rocks, you will see a house with an open roof with a blue flower inside. Grapple inside the house and then open the chest there to get the rot.
6) Rot 5/25
At the location shown below, you will find a few bombable rocks. Throw a bomb on them to make them levitate. Then use the blue flowers on the rocks to jump to the top of the platform with a purple symbol (see the third picture below). Stand on the purple symbol and use pulse. This will start a shooting minigame. Shoot 10 targets ad the rot will appear.
7) Rot 6/25
This rot is near the ancient well. At the highlighted location you will find a few bombable platforms as shown in the second picture below. Bomb the platforms to levitate them.
You will find a switch and a flower on the levitated platforms as shown below. Shoot the switch to align the platform correctly. then use the blue flower to jump to the top of the platform.
Jump across the platforms and then bomb the rocks as shown in the picture below. The rot is behind those rocks.
8) Rot 7/25
This rot is inside the battle arena at the highlighted location. Go down the spiral staircase at the mentioned location, where you will find the rot at one of the corners as shown below.
9) Rot 8/25
From the previous location, keep moving ahead in the cave. Eventually, you will come out from the other side of the cave. After coming out, go right till the end of the path until you reach a waterfall. The rot is here underneath a log as shown in the third picture below.
10) Rot 9/25
At the location shown below, you will find a few bombable rocks. Bomb them to levitate. Jump on one of the rocks then shoot the switch on the other rock to align it properly. Then jump to the top of the other rock.
From here, bomb another set of rocks as shown in the picture below. This will make the rocks levitate in the air. Shoot the switches on the floating rocks to align them properly.
Then grapple onto the blue flower to reach the rock. From here jump to the top of the building and open the chest to get the rot as shown below.
11,12) Rot 10/25 & Hat 1/10 (Pumpkin)
The rot is in the little farmland as shown below. South of the farmland is a small broken house with a tear inside it. Water the tear with a bucket placed nearby. This will make a plant sprout. Summon tear from the plant and use it to water the farmland. Pumpkins will grow as you water the farmland. the rot is inside one of the pumpkins. You will also get a Pumpkin hat along with the rot.
13) Rot 11/25
The rot is on the top of the roof as shown below.
14) Rot 12/25
This rot is underneath a bombable rock at the location shown below.
15) Rot 13/25
This rot is underneath a bombable rock at the location shown below.
16) Rot 14/25
The rot is inside a chest near the poison swamp at the location shown below. Hit the switch as shown in the second picture below. This will make the platform start moving. When the platform comes in front of you, jump on it. When the platform reaches the backside, jump out to it to reach the platform containing the chest (see the second picture below). Open the chest to get the rot.
17) Rot 15/25
At the location shown below, you will find bombable rocks. Throw the bomb and this will make the rocks float. Use the floating rocks to jump on the upper platform. Then carefully walk on the beams to reach the rot as shown below.
18) Rot 16/25
Stand on the purple symbol at the location shown below and use pulse. This will start a shooting mini-game. Shoot 7 targets to complete the challenge and you will get the rot.
19) Rot 17/25
Go inside the cave at the location shown below. You will find the rot underneath a log in one of the rooms. From the location marked below, turn around and turn left to reach the room with the rot.
20) Rot 18/25
The rot is on the ground at the location shown below.
21) Rot 19/25
The rot is inside a chest underneath the bridge as shown below.
22,23,24) Rot 20,21,21/25
You will receive three rots after you get the Ox Relic. This is story-related and cannot be missed.
25,26,27) Rot 23,24,25/25
You will receive three rots after you get the Hammer Relic. This is story-related and cannot be missed.
28) Hat 2/10 (Pancake)
The hat is inside a chest at the backside of the house highlighted below.
29) Hat 3/10 (Egg)
To get this hat you need to guide three owl statues to the top of the pedestals as shown in the picture below. Statue 1 is in the small farmland right behind the pedestals. Statue 2 is inside a small hut opposite the pedestals. Statue 3 is behind some bombable rocks northeast of the pedestals.
30,31) Hat 4/10 (Cowboy) & Cursed Chest 2/2
Interact with the cursed chest at the highlighted location. Then defeat 8 enemies to complete the challenge and get the hat.
32) Hat 5/10 (Sun)
You will get this hat on finding the hat cart as shown below.
33) Hat 6/10 (Ox)
The hat is inside a chest in the house shown below.
34) Hat 7/10 (Halo)
The hat is in the forge area. Zip to the upper level using the flower as shown below. Open the chest there to get the hat.
35) Hat 8/10 (Autumn)
This hat is near the ancient well. At the highlighted location you will find a few bombable platforms as shown in the second picture below. Bomb the platforms to levitate them.
You will find a switch and a flower on the levitated platforms as shown below. Don’t Shoot the switch as you will need the platform in the position as shown below to reach the hat location. Use the flower to go to the top of the platform.
Go to the end of the platform and you will see few bombable rocks down on the ground. Bomb them to make them float and form platforms as shown below. Jump through the floating platforms to reach the other side. You will find a chest there with a hat inside.
36) Hat 9/10 (Sunflower)
Move the rock and the location shown below. You will find the hat inside a chest behind the rock.
37) Hat 10/10 (Adira’s Mask)
You will get this hat automatically after defeating the main boss of the area (Corrupted Woodsmith).
38) Flower Shrine 1/7
You will find a tear at the location marked below. Shoot the mechanism near the tear and it will throw water on the tear. This will make the plant grow. Summon Forest Tear from the plant and guide it to the Flower Shrine location as shown below and cleanse the shrine.
39) Flower Shrine 2/7
This flower shrine is just south of the tear near the tower entrance.
40) Flower Shrine 3/7
Go to the underground cave through the spiral stairs at the location shown below. In the cave, you will come across a broken bridge with a forest tear on one side of the bridge and the flower shrine on the other. Throw a bomb on the bridge to repair it. Then summon the forest tear and guide it through the bridge to the flower shrine as shown below.
41) Flower Shrine 4/7
The flower shrine is at the location marked below. Forest tear is south of the flower shrine, inside a broken house near a small pumpkin field as marked below.
42) Flower Shrine 5/7
The flower shrine is near the wood bridge leading to Rufus Barn. Summon tear from the plant highlighted below then guide it through the wooden bridge to reach the shrine and cleanse it.
43) Flower Shrine 6/7
The Flower Shrine is at the location shown below. Next to the shrine is a tear. To grow the tear plant you will need water. Go inside the house containing water as shown below. Enter the house containing the water by grappling to the blue flower (see the second picture below). Inside the house, you will find a bucket of water. Tilt the bucket to drop the water. Then open the door and guide the water drop outside to the tear. This will make the plant grow. Summon forest tear from the plant and use it to cleanse the forest shrine as shown in the third picture below.
44) Flower Shrine 7/7
This Flower Shrine is near the forge area as shown below. Go inside the building south of the shrine. Shoot the blue crystal and it will drop water on the tear there. The tear plant will grow. Then summon the tear and use it to cleanse the shrine.
45) Spirit Mail 1/1
The Spirit Mail is in the underground cavern in the forge area. From the Warp Point, turn around and go down the stairs to reach the underground cavern as shown below.
After reaching the cavern, you will see a tear on a platform in front of you. Shoot the crystal above the tear for water to fall on the tear. This will make the plant grow.
Now throw a bomb at the bombable rock on the right side as shown below. This will make the rock levitate and form a bridge across the two platforms.
Summon forest tear from the plant and guide it through the bridge to the button on the platform on the right side. Use the forest tear to press the button. This will make the water level rise up in the cavern.
When the water level has risen up, swim to the left side. then go through the path shown below to reach the Spirit Mail.
