This guide shows how to complete the “Victim of Circumstance” Side Quest in chapter 11 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location
Travel to the Cosmo Canyon Region. There you will find Zhijie (NPC) attempting to repair a broken-down vehicle. Speak to him, and he will ask for your assistance in defeating the fine who is causing trouble while he is attempting to fix the engine.
Purchase a vibrodetector from a Moogle Emporium
Visit any Moogle Vendor, which may be easily found at ‘Moogle Intel’. Moogle Vendor in Cosmo Canyon is shown on the map below. Complete the minigame to access the vendor, where you can purchase the Vibrodetector for 3 Moogle Medals.
Track Down the Fiend
Press the button to use Vibrodetector. Two blue circles indicate the correct direction toward the fiend while Red circles indicate that you are going away from the objective. As you approach the fiend the light beam starts getting shorter with stronger vibration.
If you’re still having trouble finding the fiend, then look at the exact location marked on the map below.
Location #1
As you approach the location the fiend will then relocate to location #2.

Defeat two Desert Sahagins and a Stone Golem
Location #3
Defeat the fiend named Gigaworm to end the quest.
