You have the option to Kill Thrumbo or betray Mystic Carrion. Option – Killing Thrumbo would start a fight. Once he’s dead pick up his body. Head back to Philgrave’s Mansion and speak with Mystic Carrion, who will reward you with the Torch of Revocation.
Find and explore Mystic Carrion’s Secret Basement
You will need to locate Mystic Carrion’s heart in order to destroy it if you choose to aid Thrumbo and betray Mystic Carrion.
Thrumbo will inform that there is a secret chamber underneath Philgrave’s mansion. Your next goal is to enter the basement. You can locate a hole in the wall by going to the end of the beach southwest of the Philgrave mansion. You can enter the mansion’s basement by breaking in.
Inside the basement, you will find a Mummy’s Memories book on a table. According to this book, Mystic Carrion has a hidden lair in the sewers.
Find Mystic Carrion’s Ancient Lair
Fast travel to the Undercity waypoint, then head to the left from the waypoint to reach the Ancient Lair entrance.
Explore the Ancient Lair
Use the “Greater Invisibility” spell to enter the liar after detaching yourself from the party.
Head to your right to find a stone wall and break the wall with any spell to get inside. In the corner, you will find a book on a table that reveals Mystic Carrion hid his heart inside Thrumbo.
