During the latest Xbox Partner Preview showcase, Konami offered a sneak peek at the gameplay for the forthcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the visuals are absolutely stunning.
The gameplay trailer highlighted the iconic stealth mechanics in action, with scenes ranging from Snake stealthily navigating water alongside a crocodile and holding a pistol. What’s even cooler is that at the end of the video, they told us that the game will be using Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. This confirms what we heard before, that the remake everyone is excited about would use the Unreal Engine.
Back in May, Konami told everyone about a new version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and they called it ‘Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.‘ People were a bit puzzled because they used the Δ symbol instead of the number 3. The reason for this is that they want to show that they’re making big changes to the game, which came out almost 20 years ago.
Even though they’re making some changes to the game, the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will still keep some of the things from the old version. For example, they’re using the same words spoken by the characters as in the original game.
