Help Oskar Escape
Head to the Zhentarim hideout. First, talk to Brem and select the option “pet artist“. Then ask her to free Oskar. You can pay 1000 coins for his freedom or use [intimidation] or [persuasion] to force Brem to hand over Oskar to you for free.

Speak with Oskar, and he will explain why he was captured. He claims he was engaged to Lady Jannath, but he fell in love with another woman and fled to the countryside due to a few differences. Now, he intends to set aside all of his differences and marry Lady Jannath again.
Lastly, he will request that you provide a few coins for the journey. You can choose to give him 200 coins or tell him that you don’t have any.
Look for Oskar in Baldur’s Gate
Now go to Lady Jannath’s mansion to search for Oskar. Her butler will greet you at the door and refuse to let you in.
Use the ‘See Invisibility’ potion and enter Lady Jannath’s Estate. Go to the second level and enter the rightmost room to witness a possessed Oskar cursing Lady Jannath.
Incapacitate Oskar
Here you must utilise non-lethal strikes against Oskar to subdue him. Collect the small iron key from Oskar.
Following the battle, Lady Jannath will convey her thanks. She reveals that after their marriage, he lost his appetite and became fixated on painting, as if possessed. The house also became restless, with objects moving on their own. She reveals that he spent a lot of time on the top floor Atelier and asks for your favor to investigate the source of this problem.
Reach the Atelier
Go to the top floor Atelier of the Mansion.
Investigate the Atelier
Pick up Oskar’s painting and place it on the Easel in the Atelier. This will cause the wooden wall to slide open, revealing another picture. Go to the freshly opened room and read the Mystic Carrion letter to learn that Oskar was in love with someone else and had requested the Mystic Carrion’s assistance.

Lift the Curse from Lady Jannath’s Estate
The Torch of Revocation is used to burn the painting in the secret room of the atelier. Equip the Revocation Torch to destroy the painting.
Confront the spirit of Kerri Evenfield
This will allow the enslaved spirit to be released. This spirit’s name is Kerri Evenfield will go to find Oskar.
Return to Lady Jannath’s chamber. Upon entering, the spirit will be anger towards Oskar and want his demise to unite in the spirit realm. Your task involves persuade her to stop this and let him go.
Receive the Reward
You can return to the Atelier when he is freed from the spirit and ask for the reward.
