This guide shows how to solve the “Gallery Painting Puzzle” in the Hall of Ablution in the Shadows of Rose DLC in Resident Evil Village, which is released on 28 October 2022.
Snake Painting Location
Once you’ve found the second mask, exit the basement and then the Hall of Ablution. The guest room door will now be open. Enter the guest room and go through the double doors to get the snake painting.
Gallery Painting Puzzle
Exit the snake painting room via the other door and proceed to the main hall to put the silver mask on the statue. Please see the image below. The silver mask goes on the right-most figure of the statue.
Head upstairs from the main hall and into the door at the top where the gallery is located. There are five paintings and one empty frame. Place the snake painting you just found.
To solve the puzzle, you need to arrange the painting in such a way that each animal in the painting has to be placed in order depending on who is prey to whom.
- Butterfly Painting should face the Spider Painting
- Wolves Painting should face the Sheep Painting
- Snake Painting should face the Frog Painting
Solve the puzzle correctly to reveal a box at the end of the room. The box contains the trinocular key.
