In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Mask Shards are essential collectibles that increase your maximum health once you’ve gathered enough of them. There are 20 Mask Shards scattered across Pharloom. This guide covers every Mask Shard location and explains how to collect them so you can boost your health to the maximum.
Mask Shard 1 – Bone Bottom
The first Mask Shard can be purchased from Pebb in the Bone Bottom area for 300 Rosaries.
Mask Shard 2 – Deep Docks
This Mask Shard can be found at the start of the Deep Docks area. You can access this area from the bottom right of The Marrow. Also, need Cling Grip to access the Mask Shard.
Once you enter Deep Docks, continue on the right side path to reach Mask Shard #2.
Mask Shard 3 – Wormways
Requires Swift Step to reach the area. Enter the room from Moss Grotto/Mosshome as shown in the map. Follow the path to the left and head down into the pit with water. Destroy the wall on the right to find the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 4 – Far Fields
This Mask Shard is located in the Far Fields and requires the Drifter’s Cloak ability, which lets you float in mid-air and ride wind currents. Start from the Bench marked on the map and use the wind to float to the very top of the room, then head left.
Follow the path to the end, where you’ll find a destructible magma section on both the floor and the ceiling. First, blow up the magma deposit to create an updraft that will lift you toward the ceiling.
Then destroy the magma deposit above, which will collapse onto the floor and open a hidden passage. Inside, you’ll be able to collect another Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 5 – Shellwood
This Mask Shard is located in the rightmost section of the room and requires the pogo technique to reach it.
At the far end, you’ll find a wall of vines blocking the way. Break through it and go till the end to collect the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 6 – Weavenest Atla
It is located in the easternmost room of Weavenest Atla. You need to destroy the wall at the bottom right to reveal a hidden path.
Progress in the newly opened area to reach the lava section. There, you need to use Pogo, Drifter’s Cloak, etc, to reach the Mark shard on top of the room.
Mask Shard 7 – Songclave
Purchase it from Jubilana in Songclave.
Mask Shard 8 – Cogwork Core
From the Bench in Cogwork Core, head downward and enter the room on the left. Continue moving left until you reach the end of the path. Then go upward where you’ll find the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 9 – Whispering Vaults
Follow the path as shown on the map, and while heading left, watch for a hidden opening above. Climb upward through this secret path to reach the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 10 – Mount Fay
It is located in the bottom-left corner of the map of Mount Fay. Mask Shard is inside the hollow pillar.
Mask Shard 11 – Bilewater
It is located at the end of the centermost tunnel of the Bilewater.
Mask Shard 12 – The Slab
Use the Key of Apostate to unlock the area and enter. The Mask Shard is located at the top of the room, and you’ll need to use the pogo technique to reach the higher platforms and collect it.
Mask Shard 13 – Far Fields
Head to the location marked on the right side of the Far Fields and climb up to the top-right platform to enter a secret area.
Inside, blow up the magma deposit on the ground to create a path downward.
Drop down and drift further into the area, continuing to destroy magma deposits along the way to open new paths. Eventually, you’ll reach a much larger magma deposit at the bottom.
Destroy it, and the entire chamber will begin to fill with lava. Quickly rush back to the top to escape. Once you exit, the lava will rise to ground level and trigger a powerful wind current.
Use this current to reach the very top, where you can collect the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 14 – Wisp Thicket
Follow the path to the right until you come across a pool of water. Cross the pool, then go up and head left to find the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 15 – Reward of “Savage Beastfly” Wish
Get this wish from the wishwall in Bellhart.
Mask Shard 16 – Win the Race in Far Fields (ACT 3)
It is a reward for winning the race in the Far Fields (ACT 3) area.
Mask Shard 17 – Blasted Steps (ACT 3)
Head left to reach the lowest and western corridor of the Blasted Sands in Act 3. Then climb up the path above to reach teh Mark Shard.
Mask Shard 18 – Mount Fay (ACT 3)
This Mask Shard is hidden in Mount Fay. Stand onthe platform to reach a secret room at the top, then break through the ice on the right. In the next room, grapple upward and use enemies to pogo and wall jump to the top to collect the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard 19 & 20 – Reward for “Dark Hearts” and “The Hidden Hunter” Wishes (ACT 3)
Complete the Dark Hearts quest & The Hidden Hunter quest in Act 3 and return to Bellhart’s Wishwall to receive the Mask Shard.
