Unlocking the Drifter’s Cloak in Hollow Knight: Silksong is a big step forward in your adventure. However, to obtain it, you’ll need to complete the “Flexile Spines” quest. How to Start the ‘Flexile Spines’ Quest
To begin the quest, head to the Far Fields and locate the Seamstress NPC at the spot marked on the map below. Upon arrival, move downward, then proceed to the right, and continue upward before heading left to reach the central platform leading to her hut.
Inside, you will meet the Seamstress, who will assign you the “Flexile Spines” quest. Your goal is to collect twenty-five Spine Cores, which are dropped by nearby floating, spiked enemies.
Where to Find Spine Cores
Spine Cores can be obtained from the floating, spiked enemies located near the Seamstress. You can see their exact position marked on the map. To farm them, jump up and strike the enemies. When hit, they release spiked projectiles. Destroy these projectiles to get Spine Cores.
A simple trick to make farming faster is to defeat the enemy, then move to the right and exit the area. When you return, the enemy will have respawned, letting you repeat the process until you’ve collected all 25 Spine Cores needed for the quest.
Once you’ve collected 25 Spine Cores, return to the Seamstress in her hut. Hand over the items to complete the “Flexile Spines” quest. As a reward, you’ll receive the Drifter’s Cloak.
