Unlocking the Cling Grip ability in Hollow Knight: Silksong is essential for mastering movement and exploration. This upgrade gives Hornet the power to wall jump and wall climb, allowing her to scale vertical surfaces and access new areas across Pharloom. In this guide, we’ll explain where to find the Cling Grip in the game Hollow Knight: Silksong.
To begin your journey, go west from Bellhart until you reach Shellwood. Here, you will meet Shakra, the map maker for this area. Be sure to buy the map so you know where you are going. Refer to the path shown in map below.
From Shellwood, keep heading west until you reach a tall vertical section. You’ll need to use pogo jumps on the white flowers to bounce higher and climb up until you reach the very top.
Once you’re at the top, move to the right and follow the path straight ahead. Keep going until you reach a ledge.
Climb up the ledge, then continue walking to the right side of the area.
When you reach the end, climb up another ledge and move to the left. This is where you will face a boss fight against Sister Splinter.
From here, head left and drop down using the ledges. Keep moving left until you reach another path that leads upward, and then left till the end.
Climb up and then continue heading right. This part of the path is straightforward, but you’ll still need to avoid enemies and tricky jumps.
You will see a special doorway. Interact with it, and you’ll unlock the Cling Grip ability.
