How Does The Kuku Pot Work in Crimson Desert

The Kuku Pot is introduced during Chapter 4 in Crimson Desert and is often misunderstood at first. The game makes it sound like a powerful storage item that lets you store anything you want. But it’s not true. This guide explains what the Kuku Pot really does, how to use it properly, and why it is still an important item for progression.

What the Kuku Pot Really Is

The Kuku Pot is not an infinite storage system for your regular inventory. You cannot use it to store weapons, materials, or general loot. Instead, it is a specialized storage system designed mainly for:

  • Abyss-related items
  • Certain advanced technologies
  • Puzzle-related objects tied to specific mechanics

While this may sound limited, these items become increasingly important as you progress further into the game.

How the Kuku Pot Works

Once you unlock the Kuku Pot, it creates a separate storage space often referred to as your “Kuku Bag.” This space is specifically meant for handling Abyss items.

Storing Items

  • Use your Axiom ability to interact with Abyss objects.
  • When targeting a valid item, a “Seal” option will appear on the right side of the screen. Press the button to store it inside the Kuku Pot.

Withdrawing Items

Removing items from the Kuku Pot is not a straightforward process.

  • The Withdraw option may not work for most items. Instead, you often need to use the Discard option.
  • This will drop the item back into the world so you can interact with it again.

Be careful when doing this, as some Abyss items can cause damage or have environmental effects.

How It’s Used in Gameplay

The Kuku Pot is mainly used for:

  • Puzzle solving using stored Abyss objects
  • Transporting special items between locations
  • Supporting certain crafting or technology systems

It is not meant to replace your inventory. Think of it as a tool rather than storage.

Important Tip: Visit the Workshop

After completing the related quest, make sure you return to the workshop of the NPC who gave you the Kuku Pot. He sells different items in his workshop.

  • New blueprints and technologies become available here.
  • Some of these upgrades are extremely powerful.
  • Many unlock later, especially once you begin the Witch-related questline.
