Many players get stuck during Josie’s Fading Bond quest, especially at the part where the game tells you to decide whether to interfere with Josie’s fate. Even after defeating Josie and finishing other quests, the area stays locked. If this happened to you, this guide will show you how to activate Josee’s Fading Bond in Code Vein II.
Step 1: Progress the story and defeat Hero Holly
First, you must continue the main story until you reach Hero Holly in the Undead Forest. Complete Holly’s full questline and defeat her. This part is required and cannot be skipped.
Step 2: Talk to Monica and complete her quest
After finishing Holly’s quest, speak with Monica at Withered Greenhouse and complete her side quest.
Step 3: Restore your bond with Holly
Once Monica’s quest is complete, restore your bond with Holly. After restoring the bond, you will be able to travel back to Holly’s timeline.
Step 4: Go to the Sanatorium and save Holly
While in Holly’s timeline, travel to the Sanatorium and complete the mission to save her. This action changes the area’s future state.
Step 5: Visit the Sanatorium in the present timeline
After saving Holly, head to the Sanatorium in the present timeline. You will now see that the area has been restored and looks much better than before. Save Holly at the Sanatorium.
Step 6: Enter the Sanatorium and collect Lise’s Hair Ornament
Go inside the restored Sanatorium and look around carefully. Here, you will find an important item called Lise’s Hair Ornament. Pick it up.
Step 7: Activate Josee’s Fading Bond
Once you have Lise’s Hair Ornament, you can finally activate Josee’s Fading Bond. Return to Josee’s Outpost and activate Josee’s Fading Bond.
