In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, building a forge is important in upgrading your hideout and crafting better weapons. You’ll need three key materials to construct a forge: wood, hay, and stone. These resources can be found in different locations throughout the game world. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to find them and how to build your forge efficiently.
How to unlock Forge in AC Shadows
You will be able to build the Forge during the ‘Way of the Blacksmith’ quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This quest will start automatically after the ‘From Spark to Flame‘ quest.
In this quest, the player needs to seach for the Blacksmith named Heiji, in Sakai. The clues to locate Heiji are mentioned below.
- He is in southwestern Izumi Settsu
- He is in Sakai
- He is east of the Port of Sakai
To locate the Blacksmith named Heiji, you can also send your scout to track him down. The location of the Blacksmith is marked on the map below.
Once you reach the location, climb the rooftops to find the Blacksmith surrounded by enemies. Eliminate the enemies to save the Blacksmith. After saving the Heiji (Blacksmith), speak with him and this will unlock your forge-building ability.
How to Build the Forge in AC Shadows
After speaking with Heiji (Blacksmith), proceed to The Hideout, and interact with the table to Enter Build Mode and select craft the Forge. To start building the Forge, you will need the following materials:
- 40 x Crops
- 30 x Wood
- 10 x Minerals – You’ll find 15 minerals available beside the blacksmith.
Crop & Wood Location
The storage rooms in enemy camps hold stacks of materials. These camps are marked with a red dot on the map. Just dispatch two scouts to gather the resources.
Alternatively, go to your hideout and head to the Kakurega building. Inside, you’ll find contracts. These contracts can provide essential materials as a reward. Look for one that rewards wood or hay.
