Style Shop
As you explore new layers in the game, you’ll eventually come across three types of shops. The shop that is marked by a t-shirt icon on your map is the Style Shop. This shop is key for unlocking fur colors, outfits, and accessories for Donkey Kong and Pauline.
When you visit the Style Shop and interact with it, you’ll discover a variety of unique fur colors available for Donkey Kong. To unlock any of these customizations, you’ll need to spend the special in-game fossils currency.
How to Get Fossils
To buy anything from the Style Shop, you’ll need fossils. Here’s the easiest way to farm them:
1. Find Treasure Maps
Start digging through the environment. As you destroy terrain, random treasure chests will appear. Some chests contain Treasure Maps, which lead to fossil locations. These chests spawn dynamically as you destroy objects.
2. Smash Everything
Fossil maps aren’t tied to specific locations. This means the best strategy is to go all out: transform into your large form and smash everything in sight. As you cause destruction, you’ll naturally uncover chests, many of which contain treasure maps
Track Fossil Locations
Once you find a treasure map from a chest, open your in-game map to see where the fossils are located. Each fossil spot will show up as a marker on the map. Now, to make it easier to find in the game world, try to position the fossil marker directly above your character’s current position on the map. Then, when you exit the map screen, the game will keep that layout in memory
