This article will guide you through Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Between a Skull Rock and a Hard Place Quest, outlining all the steps you need to complete every objective. It is a story quest that can be started after completing The Dark Castle quest.
Starting Location
The quest begins after collecting the Orb of Unity from the Dark Castle and placing it into the Pillar of Unity on Dazzle Beach, next to Skull Rock. The quest will start and some symbols will appear around the pillar.
After triggering this quest, players will witness strange symbols emerging on the ground encircling the Pillar of Unity. These symbols, numbering seven in total, must be matched with the corresponding seven pillars scattered throughout the valley for the puzzle to be successfully solved.

- Pillar of Trust (From the Glade of Trust biome)
- Pillar of Nurturing (From the Sunlit Plateau biome)

- Pillar of Love (From the Frosted Heights biome)
- Pillar or Courage (From the Forest of Valor biome)
- Pillar of Power (From the Dazzle Beach biome)
Once the seven pillars have been positioned in their respective locations, a cutscene will be triggered where Skull Rock will shake and open up. Players will then be prompted to speak with Merlin about this strange occurrence. Talk to Merlin to end the quest.
