This guide shows the complete walkthrough of the Ikatak Shrine in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game, released on 12th May 2023. The shrine can be found in the western region of the map, specifically in a rocky area. Please refer to the image below for the precise location details.
When you have located the island, make your way to the shrine site and interact with the green hand present at the Ikatak Shrine. As a result, a green beam of light will guide you toward an underground cave where the crystal is located.
If your stamina is low and you don’t possess the ability to ascend, it is important to make the necessary preparations before entering the shrine. Ensure that you have a tool capable of interacting with rocks. Once you are prepared, descend into the hole and defeat the bubblefrog inside. Grab the crystal and carefully place it in a suitable location in an upright position.
You’ll find rockets that can be attached to the side of the upright crystal, resulting in a symmetrical arrangement. Make sure the structure are firmly secured and won’t roll. Adjust their positions as needed until you are pleased with the outcome.
Give the rocket a forceful strike and anticipate a positive outcome. The structure will soar high into the sky and fall outside the hole. However, if luck is not on your side, there is a possibility of it falling again back into the hole. In such a case, you can reset the situation by teleporting to the shrine and re-entering the area.
Use ascend ability to exit the cave. Use the Ultrahand to retrieve it. Bring the crystal close to the green activation spot within the shrine to initiate a cutscene.
For a player with no ascend ability. Climb the area near a large crystal to find a tunnel. Continue onward until you encounter a bubble frog (optional to defeat). To unveil the pathway to the summit, utilize a rock hammer (or a bomb flower if accessible) to strike the cracked section of the roof. This will create an opening for you to ascend.
