This article will guide you on how to complete all objectives of the quest “The Dark Castle” in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The quest starts directly after finishing “The Forgotten Relics” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Deliver the four relics you have gathered to Merlin, and he will unveil a portal leading to the dark realm.
Pass through the first door to explore deeper into the Dark Castle
To open the first door of the Dark Castle, you’ll need to speak with the door to receive a hint. The doorway will tell you that it will only let you pass when wearing “your wings and crown”.
There are five items ideal for this occasion:
- Cardboard Crown: Found in the west Wardrobe of the castle
- Cardboard Wings: Found in the east Wardrobe of the castle
- Thorny Wings: Unlocked at Player Level 38
- Onyx Crown: Unlocked at Player Level 40
- Raven Wings: Obtained from the Villains’ Star Path (Event)
You can collect Cardboard Crown and Cardboard Wings from Clothing Bags inside the Wardrobes on the first floor, then wear them to pass. Cardboard Crown is on the left side of the entry hall and Cardboard Wings is on the right side of the entry hall. Be sure to have food ready for stamina restoration while clearing the Night Thorns.
Figure out how to Pass through the Second door in the Dark Castle
The second door is named “Doorine” and will only open after being fed a quest-exclusive dish – Night Thorn Sprout Salad. The second floor will provide you with a table of ingredients, and a cooking station.
- Dark Castle Lettuce
- Dark Castle Garlic (Not required)
- Dreamlight Salt
- Thorn Sprout
Cook Night Thorn Sprout Salad using Dark Castle Lettuce, Dreamlight Salt, and Thorn Sprout, and leave out the Dark Castle Garlic. Finally feed the dish to the door.
Pass through the third door in the Dark Castle
To unveil the missing third-floor door, you need to employ a special lens. Just aim your camera at the door, take a picture, and the door will be revealed.
Open the fourth-floor door
In order to pass through the fourth door, your task is to locate four torches within the room and arrange them in the correct sequence around the well. While two torches can be typically found on the ground, you’ll need to utilize your pickaxe to break the ice and uncover the remaining two torches.
Look at the interior of the well, and ensure that you correctly position the torches on the stands corresponding to the appropriate pictures representing the respective time of day. Place the torches in this order counter-clockwise: Dawn, Noon, Dusk, Night.
