This article will guide you on how to destroy the Ancient Tome Book: Necromancy of Thay Key in Baldur’s Gate 3. Once you unlock the book you’ll have two choices – opening and reading the contents of the Necromancy of Thay, or finding a way to destroy it.
The Ancient Tome Book – ‘Necromancy of Thay’ must be destroyed with Radiant attacks. First, drop the Ancient Tome Book from your inventory onto the ground.
Select Shadowheart as a party member as she has Guiding Bolt.
Attack the Ancient Tome Book using Guiding Bolt to destroy it.
If you decide to read the book
Once you unlock it, you can choose to read it. This will engage your character in a series of Wisdom saving throws that must be successfully overcome in order to delve into the contents of the Necromancy of Thay. Successfully navigating this challenge rewards you with the Speak With Dead spell. This spell offer substantial utility within the game without the necessity of expending a spell slot.
