This article will guide the player on how to complete the secret quest “Operation Toy Rescue” in WOW: The War Within.
Starting Location
Speak with Alyx at the main tent of the Caverns of Time to initiate the quest – Operation Toy Rescue. She is wearing a white dress and is the Volunteer Assistant Guest Relations Manager.
After speaking with Aynx, follow the in-game quest marker and head south to find an NPC named Maru near a tent. Speak with him to receive the “Operation Toy Rescue” quest. In the quest, players must find missing toys on the Dragon Isles.
Step 1: For Both ALLIANCE & HORDE
As the quest starts, fast-travel to Dragon Isles and proceed to Ohn’ahran Plain.
In Ohn’ahran Plain, proceed to the Maruukai area. In the Maruukai area go to the road passing through the river. The location is shown below.
At this location, look for an item on the north of the road in a mound of dirt. Interact with it to find Yu’s bow.
Proceed to the Iskaara Village in Azure Span. This is located in the southwestern part of the map. In Iskaara Village look for a NPC (Yenu) near the big soup bowl. Speak with Yenu and give him the bow.
Step 2: Only for Alliance players
Head to Boralus, located in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. In Boralus go to a tree in the southwestern part of the map as shown in the map below. Interact with the shining item near the tree to obtain a ball of yarn.
Then proceed to a house to the left on the map. Inside the house, look for a cat named Kenshi and give the ball of yarn to complete the quest.
Step 2: Only for Horde players
Go to your portal room and travel to Daza’alor in Battle for Azeroth. Climb up the tree marked at the location in the map below to find an item.
Next, head south to a building entrance. Go inside to find a squirrel named Nuts and give the item. Finally, return to Maru (NPC) to end the quest.
