How to Craft the Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor: Complete Guide
To craft Kuku Flame-Resistant Armor you need four resources:
- An Enhanced Kuku Pot
- Scorchflame Plate Armor
- Power Core: Casket of Illusions
- Core of Absolution
An Enhanced Kuku Pot
The Enhanced Kuku Pot is crafted in two steps. First, craft a basic Kuku Pot at Grimnir’s workshop. This uses iron ore and timber and goes straight into your inventory as a base resource.
Then take that basic Kuku Pot and craft it into an Enhanced Cuckoo Pot by combining it with an Abyss Cell.
How to get an Abyss Cell
There are two easy locations to find Abyss Cells.
The first is inside a cave north of the map near Pailune. Follow the river going uphill, and you will find the cave entrance. Break the wall using the focus force palm ability. Inside, you will find small rock creatures. Kill them, and they drop Abyss Cells.
The second location is at Sage’s Peak. Head to the top of the area near the runes and look for stones scattered around. These stones are actually creatures in disguise. Kill them, and they drop Abyss Cells.
Resource 2: Scorchflame Plate Armor
It can be found inside a treasure chest. Head north of Demeniss to the area between the D and E in the name on your map. Look for a cluster of buildings and find the one with a doorway in the middle.
Crouch or slide underneath the doorway to reach the treasure chest containing the Scorchflame Plate Armor.
Resource 3: Power Core: Casket of Illusions
Check the marked, broken-down building in Hernand. Head inside to find a cube. If you have a Kuku Pot, use your Axiom Hand to pull it out, then seal it to store it as a Power Core. You can also get these from enemies in the open world.
Resource 4: Core of Absolution
You can get it at the Sanctum of Absolution at the lower end of the map. After completing the main puzzle, there is a secondary puzzle that needs to be solved to get this item.
To activate the secondary puzzle, press your lantern and light attack together to trigger the sword light. Tap it onto the correct (white) blocks one at a time. Do not hold the button. Use short, precise taps. Once all the white blocks are lit correctly, the core will eject from the top. Collect it and seal it in your inventory.
Crafting the Armor
Once you have all four resources, head back to Grimnir in Hernand and craft the kuku Flame Resistant Armor from his workshop menu.
