If you want to maximize your damage potential in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the Critical Break Pictos is a must-have. This powerful upgrade boosts your Break Damage by +25% on critical hits. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where to find the Critical Break Pictos and how to unlock its full potential for your party.
When You Can Get It
To get the Critical Break Pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll need to progress the main story far enough to unlock the Paint Break ability. Paint Break ability is unlocked once you have 4 out of 9 Lost Gestrals.
Once you find 4 of them, go back to the Camp and talk to Sastro. He will help you unlock a new power called Paint Break, which you need to reach the Pictos.
Where to Find It
On the world map, you’ll find the Critical Break Pictos in a small alcove behind a Paint Spike on a beach to the northwest of Visages. Look for the area indicated by an arrow on the in-game map.
Once you reach the area, look for a pinned spike—break it open to reveal and collect the Pictos hidden inside.
