Horns are an important crafting material in Palworld 1.0. You’ll need them for several medicine recipes and other useful items. There are several ways to get Horns, such as hunting specific Pals or buying them directly from a merchant. This article will cover the locations of Pals that drop Horns and the specific merchant from which you can purchase the horns.
Defeat or Capture Horned Pals
The most common way to get Horns is by defeating or capturing Pals that naturally have horns. Three Pals can drop this material:
- Eikthyrdeer
- Arsox
- Caprity
Among these, Eikthyrdeer is the best choice since it generally drops more Horns than the other two.
Eikthyrdeer Location
Eikthyrdeer can be found in several grassy regions across the map, with the largest groups appearing in the early-game areas. Refer to the map below to locate Eikthyrdeer.

Simply defeat or capture them to receive Horns as loot. Each Eikthyrdeer can drop multiple Horns, making it the most efficient Pal to farm if you’re gathering a large amount.

Arsox Location
Arsox mainly appears around the volcanic region. One of the best farming spots is at the Foot of the Volcano near the coordinates: -353, -493

Caprity Location
Caprity is another Pal that drops Horns. You can find it in several early-game regions, including the starting area.

Buy Horns from the Wandering Merchant
If you already have plenty of Gold, buying Horns is easily the fastest method. Visit the Wandering Merchant near the Small Settlement at approximately: 75, -485.

The merchant stands beside the river and sells Horns for 200 Gold each.

Breed Pals for More Horns
If you want a long-term farming method, you can set up a breeding base. Breed horned Pals, preferably Eikthyrdeer, and hatch large numbers of offspring. Once you unlock the Pal Disassembly Conveyor at Level 56, you can disassemble the extra Pals to obtain additional Horns.
