The Flaming Mane Phantom Edge in Phantom Blade Zero allows you to burn through thorny wooden blockages and access previously locked areas. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Flaming Mane, including where to find it, how to defeat the Lion Dance Hall boss, and how to repair it at Jingyang Hall.
Step 1: Progress Through the Main Story to Pangzhen
You cannot obtain the Flaming Mane during the early chapters of the game. First, progress through the main story until you reach Pangzhen. Once you arrive, continue exploring the area and follow the main story objectives. You will eventually need to travel towards the upper-left section of the map. Pass the Lion Dance Hall Bell and head east to Yu’er’s House.
Step 2: Complete the Quest at Yu’er’s House
Go to Yu’er’s House and complete the quest. Before leaving, make sure you talk to Yu’er’s father until you have heard all his dialogue.
When you leave the house, you will find three enemies outside. Defeat all three to trigger a short cutscene and get the Heavy Lion Hall Gate Key. This will help you to unlock the door for the Boss fight.
Step 3: Defeat the Lion Dance Hall Boss
Go to the Lion Dance Hall and use the Heavy Lion Hall Gate Key to open the entrance. Once inside, defeat the boss to get the Dormant Flaming Mane.
However, you cannot use it yet. You must repair it first to unlock the Flaming Mane Phantom Edge.
Step 4: Repair the Dormant Flaming Mane at Jingyang Hall
After obtaining the Dormant Flaming Mane, continue progressing through the main story until you return to Jingyang Hall.
As you approach the main area, a cutscene will begin. During the conversation, you will get a dialogue option to repair the Dormant Flaming Mane. Select the repair option to complete the process and unlock the Flaming Mane Phantom Edge.
