If you want one of the most impressive pets in Crimson Desert, then the phoenix is hard to beat. This thing is massive, easily towering over most other birds you’ll come across. The good news is that getting one is pretty straightforward once you know what to do. Here’s a step-by-step guide to adding this giant bird to your collection in Crimson Desert.

Step 1: Find and Defeat the Phoenix
The phoenix spawns in the wild in the top-right corner of the map. Head to the area near the Trader Expanse fast-travel point. The phoenix flies in a wide circle around this region, so you may need to wait and search a bit before you spot it.

The phoenix is surrounded by a small group of yellow birds, which makes it stand out quite a bit from the sky.
Defeat the Phoenix
Make sure you have a bow equipped. Explosive arrows are the recommended choice for this fight. They deal area damage on impact, which helps reduce the phoenix’s health faster than standard arrows.

Once Phoenix is within range, use your mark ability to tag the phoenix before firing. This improves your accuracy and helps you track the bird as it moves. Fire consistently at the Phoenix to bring it down.

Step 2: Skin the Phoenix for a Feather
Once the phoenix falls, head over to its body and skin it. You’ll receive a Phoenix Feather, which is the key ingredient you need for the next step.

Step 3: Craft the Sigil of Solidarity
Now you need to visit a witch. Head inside the witch houses and access the Workshop of the Witch.

From there:
- Select Craft Abyss Gear
- Navigate all the way to the right to find the Special Items tab.
- Craft the Sigil of Solidarity for the phoenix.

Step 4: Unlock the Phoenix as a Pet
Open your inventory and look for the purple chest icon. The Sigil of Solidarity will be sitting in there. Use the item, and the phoenix is officially unlocked as a pet.

Step 5: Summon Your Phoenix
To summon the phoenix, open your inventory and select the Pets tab at the top. You’ll see the phoenix listed there. Click on it to summon it, and after a moment, it will fly over and land right on your arm.

What Does the Phoenix Actually Do?
The phoenix functions like any other pet in the game. It picks up loot from enemies you kill and follows you around as you explore.
