Elden Ring: How to get to Shadow Keep Back Gate

This guide shows how to reach Shadow Keep Back Gate in Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, which released on 21st June 2023. This guide shows the path starting from Church District Highroad. If you don’t know how to reach Church District Highroad, then click here to see how to get there.

From the Church District Highroad Grace Site, take the path going northwest. Enter the tunnel in the path and proceed straight ahead to reach Church District Entrance as shown in the picture below.

From the Church District Entrance, go west. Your objective here is to reach the roof on the opposite site. Jump down the roof ahead and walk around the water to reach the other side. Then jump across the water to reach the roof further west. Then go right and climb up the platform on the right side. Then walk west on the platform and jump at the end to reach the last roof on the west side. The path that you need to follow is shown in the picture below.
Note: If you are unable to make long jumps, continue holding the sprint button while jumping to make it further in the jump. Also, lose some weight to jump farther.

Move south on the roof till the end. Then turn towards the water and jump on the inclined column as shown in the picture below. Use the inclined column to climb the roof up ahead. You will find a hole in the roof there as shown in the second picture below. Jump down through the hole and reach the floor on the south side. Then jump down the hole in the floor as shown in the second picture below.

After jumping down, go through the door on the west side. Then immediately go through the door on the left side to come out from the building as shown in the picture below. Take the path across the water as shown below. Then climb up the ladder at the end of the path as shown in the second picture below. There you will find a lever. Rotate the lever to drain out the water.

Once the water is drained out, climb down the ladder. Then go through the door next to it and jump down to the ground floor as shown in the picture below. Then go out through the door and go out to reach the Sunken Chapel Grace Site as shown in the second picture below.

From the Grace Site, go north, and soon you will reach a hall as shown in the picture below. Go to the hallway next to this hall to find an elevator as shown in the second picture below. Take this elevator up.

After the elevator stops, jump to the room on the west side. Go out through the door ahead. Then go through the first door on the right side of the hallway to reach another elevator as shown in the picture below. Take the elevator to reach the upper level. Step off the elevator and you will reach the Specimen Storehouse Grace Site as shown in the second picture below.

Go west from the Grace Site and climb up the ladder there as shown in the picture below. Step off the ladder and go right. Then climb up the stairs on the left side as shown in the second picture below.

After reaching up, go behind the bookshelves and you will find a hole in the eastern wall as shown in the picture below. Then climb up the wooden staircase to reach the upper level, where you will find the Storehouse Loft Grace Site as shown in the second picture below.

You will see an elevator near the Grace Site. Use it to reach the upper level. Step off the elevator and step on the beam ahead. Go towards the west side of the room walking on the beam. Then climb up the ladder as shown in the picture below to reach the uppel level.

Step off the ladder and go to the north side of the room walking on the beams. Take the ladder there to go down as shown below. Then go further north and take another ladder to go further down as shown in the picture below.

Go out of the building from the door near the ladder as shown in the picture below. Exit the door and go right to find an elevator as shown in the second picture below.

Take the elevator down. Then go down the wooden stairs ahead to reach another elevator as shown in the picture below. Take this elevator down and it will take you down to the Shadow Keep Back Gate.
