Step 1: Finish the Post-Game Story Mission “The One That Gives”
Zygarde’s quest becomes available only after finishing the main story. To unlock it, you must complete the Post-Game Story Mission “The One That Gives”, where you’ll need to battle and catch both Xerneas and Yveltal. Capturing these two Legendary Pokémon is essential to activate the next stage of the Zygarde quest.

Step 2: Battle Trainer L at Hotel Z
After capturing Xerneas and Yveltal, return to Hotel Z. When you arrive, Trainer L will challenge you to a battle. This is one of the toughest battles in the game, so make sure your team is fully healed and ready for a long fight.
Step 3: Meet Zygarde at Prism Tower
Once you defeat L, Zygarde will appear and the base of Prism Tower in Wild Zone 20. Go there, and you’ll speak to Zygarde to begin the battle. Zygarde is weak to Ice-type moves, so bring strong Ice-type Pokémon to make the battle easier.
