How to Join the Thieves Guild | Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered

Want to sneak, steal, and pickpocket your way through Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered? This guide will show you how to join the Thieves Guild, where to start, and what you need to do to become part of Cyrodiil’s most secretive group of criminals in Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered.

Step 1: Commit a Crime & Go to jail

To join the Thieves Guild, you need to commit a crime in the Imperial City – like stealing, pickpocketing, or hitting a guard. After doing so, you’ll likely get caught and sent to jail, which is the first step toward joining the guild.

Step 2: Complete your sentence in Jail

While in jail, sleep to finish your sentence. Once your time is up, you’ll be released from prison.

Step 3: Myvryna Arano

After you’re out of prison, wait for about 4 hours, and Myvryna Avran will appear next to you with an invitation to join the Thieves Guild.

Step 4: Go to the Garden of Dareloth

Next, go to the south end of the Waterfront District and wait till 11 p.m.

Step 5: Talk to Armand in the Garden of Dareloth

Wait in the garden till 11:00 pm (or midnight). After midnight, Armand Christophe will appear along with a few other people. Armand will give you a task: steal a book from someone named Amantius Allectus. He won’t say about the exact location, but the house is in the Temple District.

Step 6: Get the Amantius House Location

You can talk to the beggar just outside the garden and give him 5 gold coins to learn where Amantius’ house is. It’s located in the Temple District.

Step 7: Steal Amantius Allectus’ Diary

Now, proceed to the Temple District. Follow the path along the wall until you see a door on your left. Refer to the image below.

Go inside the building and look at the right wall of the room to find a desk. Check it and take the book.

Step 8: Report back to Armand

Then, leave the house and go back to Armand, to you’ll officially become a member of the Thieves Guild.
