Poffins have made a comeback in the remakes of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Poffins were one of the exclusive Pokémon features available only in Generation IV games. These delicious Poffins can improve their competitive abilities or increase their friendship levels. Cooking Poffins is an optional task in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that is only really worthwhile if you plan on showing off your Pokemon in Super Contest competitions. This guide explains how to make the best Poffins for specific conditions, as well as how nature influences your gains.
WHERE DO I GET THE POFFIN CASE?
Before start cooking Poffins, you need to find the Poffin Case. To get Poffins Case, you need to defeat the second gym leader and go to Hearthome City. In Hearthome City, this key item can be obtained as a gift from an old man inside the Pokémon Fan Club Building. This building is located on the eastern side of Poké Mart with an orange color roof. Once you get the case you can access it using your inventory.
HOW DO I MAKE POFFINS?
Head to the Poffin House and speak with the lady (owner, wearing an apron) next to the mixer. She’ll help you get started cooking Poffins. You’ll have to choose which Berries to bake into your Poffin, and the ones you pick will determine which attributes are affected when the Poffin is eaten by a Pokemon.
After selecting berries to mix, you’ll spin your joystick as instructed in the game. If you spin too slow or too fast, the Poffin mix will burn or spill, so keep up the perfect rhythm. The amount of poffins you make is directly linked to the number of berries you use.
Here’s a list of what attribute each flavor impacts:
- Bitter: Cleverness
- Sweet: Cuteness
- Spicy: Coolness
- Sour: Toughness
- Dry: Beauty
