This guide will help players on how to smuggle resources in the ‘Smuggler’s Run’ quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released on March 20, 2025.
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, smuggling resources is a great way to get important materials for building and upgrading your Hideout. While you can find small amounts of resources by exploring through the open map, Smuggling is a faster way to get a lot of resources quickly, making it much easier to improve your Hideout!
The smuggling activity unlocks as players progress through the quest “Smuggler’s Run“
To start smuggling, first visit a castle or camp with ‘Wealth High‘ status. The below image shows ‘Osaka Castle’ with ‘Wealth High‘ status.
After finding a castle with ‘Wealth High’ status. Go to the location and start looking for the resource. Resources are marked by a gold dot when focusing. These resources can be inside a shed or behind a locked door.
After finding the resources, go close enough for the ‘Smuggle Resources’ option to appear. You will also see how many Scouts are needed to smuggle them. In the image below, you can see that 2 Scouts are required to smuggle this particular resource.
Tag these resources for smuggling. The Scouts will smuggle the resource to your Hideout at the end of the current season.
