How to Solve Counting Letters Puzzle: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This article will guide you on how to solve the ‘Solve Counting‘ mystery puzzle in the Sukhothai area in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle game, which was released on December 9, 2024.

Starting Location

Go to the Nazi camp located on the central island of the map in Wat Mahathat. If you are approaching the camp from the south, go inside the camp on your right side.

Inside the tent, pick up Bartolomeo’s Challenge Note from the table to begin the “Counting Letters” mystery.

Counting Letters Puzzle Solution

In this mystery, a player needs to decipher the code of Bartolomeo’s Challenge Note into numerical value. The code is J-H-H-S.

There are two translation sheets and a deciphering machine on the table.

But there are only three 3 cipher wheels that match with the JHHS code. The fourth wheel doesn’t have the required alphabets.

Step 1: Decipher the first 3 characters (J-H-H-x)

Place the wheel with the J alphabet in the first slot of the deciphering machine. Simillary place wheel with H alphabet on second and third slot. Rotate the wheel to get J-H-H-x on the top row. Here x is an unknown value.

Two possible codes are at the bottom row (depending on two Hs positions). The codes are B-I-E-x or B-E-I-x. Refer to the translation sheet to match the numerical code B-I-E-x or B-E-I-x.

B-I-E-x = 0648
B-E-I-x = 4134

Step 2: Decipher Last 3 characters (x-H-H-S)

Now, put the wheel with S on the fourth slot. Rotate the wheel to get the code on the first row as x-H-H-S. This should give the code on the second row as x-I-E-R. Match it with the translation sheet to get the code 4134

So, the final decoded letters are B-I-E-R and the code is 4134. Use this code on the chest to open it.
