If you want to access the new DLC content in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, you need to visit Captain Brandt at the Stardrop Inn and speak with him at night. He offers two new quest options that unlock different parts of the expansion. Follow this guide to find Captain Brandt, unlock the new quests, and begin exploring the additional DLC content.
Visit the Stardrop Inn at Nightfall
First, head to the Stardrop Inn on the right-hand side of town at night. It is located in Vernworth. Enter the inn and approach Captain Brandt, who will be sitting at the bar area.
Interact with him to open the dialogue options. You should now see two new quest topics: About the Uncovered Runes and About the New Arisen. Each option unlocks a different quest and has its own recommended level.
Start the About the Uncovered Runes Quest
The About the Uncovered Runes option is recommended for characters at level 20 or above, making it the easier quest to start with. Select this dialogue option to mark the locations of the newly discovered doors on your map.
Unlock the About the New Arisen Quest
You can also speak with Captain Brandt about The New Arisen. This quest is recommended for characters at level 40 or above, so you may want to leave it until your character is stronger.
Choose Which Quest to Complete First
Once you’ve spoken with Captain Brandt and unlocked the new quests, open your quest menu and select the one you want to pursue.
If you’re around level 20, start with The Lost Rights and Chilling Tidings. These quests let you explore the newly marked locations and work toward obtaining new gear. If you’re level 40 or higher, you can also consider starting The New Arisen.
