Need a safe place to keep your items in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered? This guide will show you how to store your gear without losing it, whether you’re using a house chest or looking for a safe spot in the world.
Early Convenient Location
An easy place to store your items early in the game is a special tree stump behind Rindir’s Staffs in the Imperial City. Go to Rindir’s Staffs in the Market District, then find the alley next to the shop. Refer to the location below.

Walk through it and look to the right in a small garden to find a Hollow Tree Stump. Anything you put inside will stay there forever.

Buy a House and a Storage unit
You can buy a home in most major cities throughout Cyrodiil to store your items. In Oblivion Remastered, you can get a house by buying it or earning it from a quest. Houses are found all over Cyrodiil, and you can have more than one. To buy one, make sure you have enough gold.
You can buy a house from an NPC named Vinicia Melissaeia. She is located at the Office of Imperial Commerce at the Imperial City Market District in the Imperial City. Refer to the location below.

It costs 2,000 gold.

Buy Furniture/Storage
You can buy storage/furniture from the Three Brothers Trade Goods at the Imperial City Market District in the Imperial City. Refer to the location below.

House Location
The house you buy is located in the Waterfront District of the Imperial City. Check the location below for reference.
