This article will guide the player on how to unlock all Bonds in Dynasty Warriors Origins.

Cao Cao

  • Play Wei’s story & unlock these 5 cutscenes
  • Chp 1 – Ziluan
  • Chp 2 – Fondly Familiar Face
  • Chp 3 – Governor of Yan Province
  • Chp 4 – Luan of the Battlefield
  • Chp 5-Eyes of the Sacred Bird

Chen Gong

Follow these steps:

  • First Appearance after Sishui Gate with a Request – Complete the request
  • Appears in Sili Province shortly after, talks to him
  • Appears after Battle of Puyang (Yan Prov) – Will give you training
  • Mediate Training & get final bond cs (Xu Prov)

Cheng Pu

  • First Appearance after the first Sun battle in Chp 3 get a request and complete it
  • Appears with training following the Xiangyang battle and is immediately available for mediation.
    • However, you may face a glitch with this character.
  • Appeared after the battle of Xiaopei
  • Final appearance, Beginning of chp 5 (Yang Prov), get training, mediate, read letter & get final bond cs

Diaochan

  • The first 2 Bonds you get from the story (Chp 2)
    • A Day That Shook The World
    • Diaochan’s Invitation
  • Then complete both requests after the 10 attendants stage (Sili Prov)

FINAL BOND:

  • Increase the peace in SILI Province to the max.
  • Complete all the training in SILI, then finish with Skirmish grinding

Once you receive Wang Yun’s letter after fully upgrading the Sili Province, return to the beginning of Chapter 3 to read the letter and then proceed to the village to meet Diaochan.

Dian Wei

  • First appears at the beginning of Chapter 3, where training becomes available.
  • Complete the training mediation and speak with him.
  • Reappears after the second Puyang Battle with training available; mediate immediately and then talk to him.
  • Makes his final appearance after being rescued at Wan Castle.

Dong Zhuo

  • First appears after the Guangzong battle in Chapter 1 and provides training.

Pang Tong

  • Appears after the first visit to the village in Chapter 3, offering the first bond and training.
  • Reappears at the beginning of Chapter 4 with Liu Bei’s Force, presenting a request; complete it.
  • Final bond is obtained after the Battle of Changban.

Sun Ce

  • First bond is given in Chapter 3 after Nanyang.
  • A Question of Resolve – Chapter 3.
  • With A Resolute Heart – Chapter 4.

The last two bonds are obtained after saving him.

  • Lives Tied Together – Chapter 4 (Hypothetical).

Taishi Ci

  • Appears after the Battle of Beihai in Chapter 3 (Liu Bei Path).
  • Appears after the battle with Huang Zu, following the completion of one of his training sessions. check for mediation if he doesn’t show up.
  • Receive additional training, then mediation becomes available at the beginning of Chapter 5 to unlock the final bond.

Xiahou Dun

  • Chapter 1 – Those Who Serve Reason (Given).
  • Receive training after Wang Yun Protection. Mediate after Sishui to unlock the next bond.
  • Complete the request at the beginning of Chapter 4.
  • Read the letter at the beginning of Chapter 5 to obtain the final bond.

Xiahou Yuan

  • Beginning of Chapter 5: Read the letter to unlock the final bond.

Yueying

  • Beginning of Chapter 4: Appears with the first bond and a request.
  • Shortly after: A letter will appear; read it to unlock the next bond, followed by another request.
  • Shortly after again: Another letter will appear, unlocking the final bond.

Zhang Fei

  • Chapter 1: Zhang Fei Bond 1 is given by progressing through the story.
  • After Chapter 2 Battle: Receive training; complete it or mediate it to unlock the next bond.
  • Beginning of Chapter 4: Receive a request; complete it to obtain the final bond.

Zhang He

  • After the Battle of Jieqiao (Liu Bei Path, Chapter 3): Receive a letter, read it, then visit for the first bond and training.
  • Beginning of Chapter 4 (Cao Cao Path): Read the letter to unlock the next bond and training.
  • After the Mt. Bailang Battle in Chapter 5: Obtain the final bond (may be available sooner).

Zhang Jiao

  • Complete one playthrough (Any Faction) and then start over from Chapter 1 in the same save file (New Game+).
  • After the first battle: He will appear for the first bond and training. Complete the training (no mediation available).
  • Once training is completed: He will appear again for the next bond and training.

  • Shortly after: The next bond will become available, followed by another request.
  • Soon after: Read her letter to unlock the final bond.

Zhou Cang

  • Beginning of Chapter 3: Appears for the first bond and training.
  • Beginning of Chapter 5: Read the letter, visit for the next training, and mediate right away for the bond.
  • Get the next training: Mediate again, then visit for the final bond.

Zhou Tai

  • After the Battle of Niuzhu (Chapter 3): Appears for the first bond and training.
  • After the Conquest of Wu Battle: Appears with training; mediate right away for the next bond.
  • Beginning of Chapter 5: Receive training, mediate right away, and get the final bond.

Zhou Yu

  • Appears After Siege of Fan Castle (Chapter 3). This may have also been triggered by using him as a companion for the first time.
  • After Niuzhu Battle: Appears with a request; complete it for the next bond.

Zhuge Liang
