Black Myth Wukong: How to Unlock Chapter 2 Secret Area “Kingdom of Sahali”
This guide shows how to unlock the Secret Area “Kingdom of Sahali” in Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong, released on 20 August 2024.
1) Talk to the Drunken Boar
Go to Fright Cliff: Rockrest Flat shrine. Go behind the large rock at the back side of the shrine. There you will find a narrow path leading to a large open area. You will find a drunken boar on the left side of the area as shown in the picture below. Talk to him and he will ask you to bring something to sober him up.
2) Get the “Sobering Stone”
Go to the Yellow Wind Formation: Windrest Bridge shrine. If you don’t know how to get there, go to the Crouching Tiger Temple: Temple Entrance. Climb up the stairs to reach Tiger Vanguard boss arena. Cross the arena and climb up the stairs ahead. After you reach the top of the stairs, you will find the Windrest Bridge shrine on the right side.
Cross the bridge next to the shrine, and go left. Then turn right and climb up the stairs ahead to reach the courtyard as shown in the picture below. Enter the house on the left side of the courtyard and destroy the barrel inside as shown in the second picture below to get the Sobering Stone.
3) Bring the “Sobering Stone” to the Drunken Boar
Go back to the drunken boar near the Fright Cliff: Rockrest Flat shrine. Talk to him and exhaust all the dialogue options.
4) Meet the Boar at the Crouching Tiger Temple
Go to the Crouching Tiger Temple: Temple Entrance shrine. Climb up the stairs and go through the path on the right side as shown in the picture below to find the boar. He will ask you to bring Jade Lotus.
5) Find Jade Lotus & Bring it to the Boar
Jade Lotus can be found in the lake at the start of Chapter 2, as shown in the picture below. If you didn’t collect it before, travel to Sandgate Village: Village Entrance shrine. Climb up the stairs next to it and go left along the rocky hill to reach the lake and get the Jade Lotus.
You can also purchase Jade Lotus from the shrine store as shown in the pictures below. Take the Jade Lotus to the boar in the Crouching Tiger Temple and exhaust all the dialogue options.
6) Fight the Yellow-Robed Squire
Go back to the area where you first met the boar near the Fright Cliff: Rockrest Flat shrine. Opposite the location where you first met the boar, you will find him again as shown in the picture below (Yellow-Robed Squire). When you approach him, he will attack you for carrying the Arhat Gold Piece (A quest item that you will get automatically by defeating the story boss First Prince of Flowing Sands). After you have defeated the Yellow-Robed Squire, there will be a cutscene and he will pass through the wall at the end of the stairs. Go near the wall and interact with it to reach the secret area “Kingdom of Sahali”.
7) Secret Boss Tiger Vanguard
Soon after entering the Kingdom of Sahali, you will encounter the secret boss Tiger Vanguard. Defeat him to get Tiger Tally.
8) Secret Boss Fuban
Afterward, you’ll enter a vast desert. Climb the cliff where an NPC awaits. Speaking to him triggers a cutscene, leading to the summoning of the Fuban boss. Defeat Fuban to get the Wind Tamer vessel and Fuban’s Insect Armor recipe. This also unlocks the Shifting Sands trophy.
