Lackey Side Quest Guide | Find Vostatek & his Hideout | Kingdom Come Deliverance II

Looking for Gamekeeper Vostatek in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II? The Lackey side quest will lead you to his hidden location and help you bring him home. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to start the quest, how to track down Vostatek, and finally bring him home.

Starting Location

To start the Lackey side quest, go to Gamekeeper Vostatek’s house, which is located west of Tachov and northwest of Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn. There you will find a woman named Zlata. Talk to her and she will explain that her husband, Vostatek, went out hunting and hasn’t returned yet.

Talk to Vitek

After talking to Vostatek’s wife, go south to find Vitek, Vostatek’s son, who is standing near a temporary shade. When you talk to him, choose the dialogue option that says, “He could be in serious danger.”. He will ask you to go north along the shore into the old forest to find his father.

Find Vostatek

After learning Vostatek’s location, head north of the lake. You’ll find him up in a tree, hiding from a pack of wolves in the southwest corner of the search area. Defeat around three wolves to help him feel safe enough to climb down.

Carry Vostatek to his hideout

Next, you’ll need to carry the injured Vostatek either to his hideout or back to his home. If you choose to take him home, the quest will end there. To bring him to his hideout, pick him up, and head north past the lake. Follow his directions until you reach the hideout.

Bring Vostatek some water from the barrel

Vostatek will ask for some water. Grab some from the barrel in the camp and give it to him.

Track down Vostatek’s horse Pepik

Next, Vostatek will ask you to find his horse, Pepik. Head east and search the ground for clues to track him. Interact with the clues to gather more information until you arrive at a bandit camp. Defeat the bandits and retrieve Pepik, then bring him back to Vostatek’s hideout.

Finally, help Vostatek return home. Talk to Vitek, Vostatek’s son, and choose the dialogue “Drunkenness had nothing to do with it”. This will end the quest.
