Lady Luctopus is the first major boss in Psychnaughts 2. You will face Lady Luctopus towards the end of the “Hollis’ Hot Streak” Brain/Level after you have gained access to High Roller’s Lounge. Lady Luctopus will be holding six cards. Each card will be having one captive each: Lizzie, Adam, Morris, Norma, Sam, and Gisu. Your objective will be to release all the captives and defeat Lady Luctopus. The fight has six phases.
Objective: Hollis is stacking the deck against me! I can’t let the house win this time…
Lady Luctopus: Phase 1
As the fight starts, you can see Lady Luctopus holding Lizzie and Adam on her left tentacle. She will attack you by throwing bombs in the shape of a light bulb. The bomb will explode if you go near it.
You will first have to destroy the red glowing circle on the left tentacle of Lady Luctopus. It can be destroyed using PSI blast or throwing the light bulb-shaped bomb using your Telekinesis ability.
Destroying the red circle will reveal a blue socket. Throw the bomb on the socket, destroying it. This will free Lizzie and Adam and it will also cause a little damage to Lady Luctopus.
Lady Luctopus: Phase 2
Lady Luctopus will be stunned by your attacks during phase 1 of the fight. A few idea nodes will appear on the right side of Lady Luctopus. Use mental connect on the nodes to reach the top of the stacked coin platform. There you can see a purple barrier at the backside of Lady Luctopus head.
Destroy the purple barrier using PSI blast, reveal a Green Heart, and idea nodes to reach the top of the heart. Use mental connect on the nodes to reach the top of the Green Heart. Attack the Green Heart with PSI blast to deal damage to Lady Luctopus. After some damage, Lady Luctopus will wake up and throw you back to the platform in front of her.
Lady Luctopus: Phase 3
This phase is similar to phase 1 of the fight. In this phase, Lady Luctopus will be holding Morris and Norma on her right tentacle. During this phase, her attacks will be more severe and the socket will be much better protected. She will attack by throwing deck of cards on the platform. Before she will throw the cards, red lines will appear revealing the path of the cards. Steer clear from the red lines to save yourself from taking the damage.
Just like phase 1, destroy the red glowing circle on the right tentacle to reveal a socket. Then throw a bomb on the socket, which will free Morris and Norma.
Lady Luctopus: Phase 4
This phase is similar to phase 2. Idea nodes will appear on the left side of Lady Luctopus. Use them to jump to the top of the coin stack platform. Then destroy the purple barrier at the back of the head of Lady Luctopus, to reveal a red heart. Attack the red Heart with PSI blast to deal damage to Lady Luctopus. After some damage, Lady Luctopus will wake up and throw you back to the platform in front of her.
Lady Luctopus: Phase 5
As you might have already guessed, this phase is similar to Phases 1 & 2. This time Lady Luctopus will be holding Sam and Gisu, but she will keep them switching between her left and right tentacle. Also, the attacks will be more severe. In addition to the previous attacks, she will now also give shock attacks by electrifying the floor. You will have to jump above the coin stacks to save yourself from taking damage from the electric shock.
Just like phases 1 and 3, destroy the red glowing circle on the tentacle holding the cards to reveal a socket. Then throw a bomb on the socket, which will free Sam and Gisu. This will again stun Lady Luctopus, starting the final phase of the fight.
Lady Luctopus: Phase 6
Just like phases 2 and 4, idea nodes will appear on both sides of Lady Luctopus. Use the Use them to jump to the top of the coin stack platform. Then destroy the purple barrier at the back of the head of Lady Luctopus, to reveal a red heart. Attack the red Heart with PSI blast to defeat Lady Luctopus.
