Silent Hill 2: Lakeview Hotel Vanity Mirror Lightbulb Puzzle (All Difficulty)
This guide shows how to solve the Vanity Mirror Lightbulb Puzzle in the Lakeview Hotel area in the Silent Hill 2 game, which was released on 6th October 2024. The vanity Mirror is in room 205 on the second floor as shown in the picture below. You will reach there by solving the Bookshelf puzzle.

1) Get the Can Opener
The can opener is on the balcony of room 217 on the second floor as shown in the picture below. Take the fire exit from 3rd floor and go down to reach the second floor. then enter room 217 and go to its balcony. From there you will see a book on a glass roof as shown in the picture below. Shoot the glass underneath the book to make the book fall down.
Now go to the Lake Shore Restaurant on the first floor and interact with the book there as shown in the pictures below to get the Can Opener.
2) Get the Paint Can and the Bolt Cutter
Get Bolt Cutter from the Utility Room on 3F and Paint Can from Room 318 on 3F as shown in the picture below.
3) Get Lightbulb
Go to the garden and use the bolt cutter to cut the chain on the gate at the location shown in the picture below. Now proceed ahead and get the Light Bulb from the sculpture at the location shown below.
4) Get Red Light Bulb
Use the can opener to open the paint can. Then combine the paint can and light bulb to get the Red Light Bulb.
5) Solve the Vanity Mirror Puzzle
Go to Room 205 and insert the Red Light Bulb on the socket at the top of the mirror. This will make two words appear on the mirror as shown in the picture below. These words are the code of the suitcase kept on the bed in Room 205. The code for all difficulty levels is mentioned below.
