Chyornaya Peschera Cave is the sixth area you explore in Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta: Snake Eater (2025 Remake). This guide will help you find every collectible in the Chyornaya Peschera Cave area of Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta: Snake Eater.

Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch
Camo (Animals)
At the start of the area, you’ll see this box in front of you. It’s your reward for defeating Ocelot by draining his stamina. Use thermal goggles to spot it more easily.
Kenyan Mangrove Crab
In the same area, put on the thermal goggles to spot the Kenyan Mangrove Crabs crawling around.
Note: The Snake near the crab is not the Snake B (Taiwanese Cobra), which is the next collectible item.
Snake B (Taiwanese Cobra)
From the starting room, follow the path in front of the Animals Camo. Then take the right path to reach a dead end. Use thermal goggles to spot the Taiwanese Cobra there.
Mushroom E (Russian Glow Cap)
It’s in the same place as the snake. It looks like a bright green glowing mushroom.
Weapon (Torch)
From the previous collectible, turn around and go back the way you came. Take the first right to enter a room with water and two waterfalls. You’ll find the Weapon (Torch) located in the space between the two waterfalls.
Ga-Ko #16
It’s on top of the rock located between the two waterfalls.
Vampire Bat
Follow the narrow path opposite the previous collectible, then crawl through the small space to reach another cavern. Use your thermal goggles to spot the bats on the ceiling.
Kerotan #16
From the current room, go through another crawl space straight ahead to reach the next room. You’ll find Kerotan #16 on the rock.
NVG (Night Vision Goggles)
It is directly below the Kerotan near the hole.
Chyornaya Peschera Cave
How to reach Chyornaya Peschera Cave
Return to the room with the waterfalls. From there, go back to the room where the path splits, leading to either the starting area or the dead end with the snake and mushroom. In this room, find and go through the crawlspace. It will lead you to the end of the cave and into the next area.
Weapon (M37)
From the start of this new area, take the right path to reach Weapon (M37).
Camo (Snow)
Crawl through the space behind Weapon (M37), and you’ll find the Camo (Snow) right after you exit the crawl space.
Kerotan #17
Continue crawling from the previous collectible location. Once you exit the crawl space, head right into an open area with sunlight coming in. You will find Kerotan #17 near the ceiling. This is the same location where you fight with the boss “The pain”.
The Pain Hornets’ Nest
Note: You need to have a hornet’s nest for this.
In the Pain boss fight, equip the hornet’s nest. Let The Pain hit you with his bee swarm attack for 5–10 seconds. After that, the hornet’s nest will disappear from your items and change into a Pain Hornet’s Nest in your food menu. Make sure to eat it.
Ga-Ko #17
After the boss fight, go to your left and climb the ledge along the wall. Follow this ledge to the area behind where the boss “The Pain” was standing. Look up to see the duck sitting where the sunlight is coming from another hole in the area.
Camo (Hornet Stripe)
This is awarded for defeating The Pain by depleting his stamina. You will find it on the platform where the boss, The Pain, was standing.
Chyornaya Peschera Cave Entrance
Kerotan #18
Follow the main story, and walk through the cave until you get to a room with sunlight. On your left, you’ll see a small opening with bombs called Claymores. Blow up the bombs, go into the room, then turn around and look up to find the Kerotan on a ledge.
Ga-Ko #18
Walk forward to follow the main story and go up the slope. Once you reach the area with the crack in the ceiling where sunlight is coming through, look straight up into the light to find the Ga-Ko.
