In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Mice side quest involves painting Olbram’s bull. Whether you’re doing it for fun or as a prank, this guide will walk you through the steps to complete the quest successfully.
Side Quest Location
To start the quest, go to Tachov and talk to Innkeeper Prochek. He will ask for your help in playing a trick on one of the landlords of Zhelejov, who owns a beautiful bull.
Ask Radovan the blacksmith for help (Optional)
To complete this task, you need to talk to the Blacksmith in Tachov. Find Blacksmith Radovan and ask him if he has anything that can calm animals down. He will give you the recipe for the sleeping potion Lullaby only if you have finished his first quest, “The Blacksmith’s Son”. This potion will help keep the bull calm.
Get something to calm the bull (0/3)
To make the Lullaby potion, you will need:
- 1x Herb Paris – Can be bought from the apothecary in Troskowitz.
- 1x Thistle – This can be found in the apothecary’s garden in Troskowitz.
- 1x Poppy – It is a bright orange flower that grows along the roadside. One of the easiest locations is just east of the apothecary.
Next, you need to brew the Lullaby potion at any alchemy bench. Once you gather all the ingredients, head to any alchemy bench and brew the potion to help calm the bull.
Lullaby Potion Brewing Instructions
- Pour oil into the cauldron.
- Add 1 Poppy and boil for one full turn of the sandglass.
- Add 1 Thistle and boil for another full turn of the sandglass.
- Remove the cauldron from the fire.
- Grind 1 Herb Paris and add it into the cauldron
- Use a phial to collect the potion.
Get Some Paint
You can buy paint from the Tailor in Troskowitz. To get it, you can either pay 60 Groschen or pass an easy speech check to receive it for free.
Paint Olbram’s bull
With all the items ready, head to Zhelejov and enter the barn. Find the feeding trough inside the barn and pour the Lullaby potion into it. Wait until nighttime when the bull falls asleep.
Then, distract the helper near the bull and sneak inside quietly. Once you’re close, interact with the bull to paint it.
