Missing: Mr. Birdie Walkthrough | Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth

This guide shows how to complete the “Missing: Mr. Birdie” Side Quest in chapter 9 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, which was released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location

To begin the subquest, go to the North Corel Community Noticeboard or speak with Mr. Birdie’s Buddies. Mr. Birdie Buddies will inform you that Mr. Birdie is missing and wants help to find him.

Obtain the Transmuter Chip

To get a Transmuter Chip, first, finish four out of six Expedition Intel lifesprings in the Corel Region. These show up on the map when you activate Remnawave Towers. After you finish four, Chadley will tell you where to find the Transmuter Chip at Excavation Intel 2: Deserted Village. Go there, then let your Chocobo find and dig for the item.

Old Republic Birdhouse

Make a Bird Trap by gathering 5 Sage, 3 Mist Seeds, and 3 Marjoram.

Next, visit the three birdhouses and set up the traps there.

Check the First Bird Trap

Once you’ve set up all three traps, return to the first one to inspect it. Defeat Cyclone Drake and Windstrome

Check the Second Bird Trap

Then, proceed to the second trap and defeat the Cactrots.

Check the Third Bird Trap

Go to the last trap to find Cloud Jr. Also defeat Gigant Bomb at this location.

Report to the Children

Finally, return to the children in North Corel to end the quest.
