Enter Philgrave’s Mansion
Fast travel to Heapside waypoint, then go south to the Philgrave’s Mansion which is located in the southern part of the lower city. The code to enter the mansion is in Jannath Estate Atelier. You will get it in the quest “Free The Artist”.
Once inside the mansion, go to the central hall and talk to Mystic Carrion. Once you talk to him he will reveal that his servant Thrumbo is missing and he will ask for a favor to find his servant Thrumbo. This will start the “Find Mystic Carrion’s Servant” quest.
Find Mystic Carrion’s Servant (Thrumbo Location)
You can find Thrumbo hiding in a house Northeast of Philgrave’s mansion. The exact location of the house is marked on the map.
Enter the house and open the wardrobe in the first room to find Thrumbo. Talk to him and he will shed light that Mystic Carrion is a monster.
Here you have the option to Kill Thrumbo or betray Mystic Carrion. Option – Killing Thrumbo would start a fight. Once he’s dead pick up his body. Head back to Philgrave’s Mansion and speak with Mystic Carrion, who will reward you with the Torch of Revocation.
Find and explore Mystic Carrion’s Secret Basement
You will need to locate Mystic Carrion’s heart in order to destroy it if you choose to aid Thrumbo and betray Mystic Carrion.
Thrumbo will inform that there is a secret chamber underneath Philgrave’s mansion. Your next goal is to enter the basement. You can locate a hole in the wall by going to the end of the beach southwest of the Philgrave mansion. You can enter the mansion’s basement by breaking in.
Inside the basement, you will find a Mummy’s Memories book on a table. According to this book, Mystic Carrion has a hidden lair in the sewers.
Find Mystic Carrion’s Ancient Lair
Fast travel to Undercity waypoint, then head to the left from the waypoint to reach the Ancient Lair entrance.
Explore the Ancient Lair
Use the “Greater Invisibility” spell to enter the liar after detaching yourself from the party.
Head to your right to find a stone wall and break the wall with any spell to get inside. In the corner, you will find a book on a table that reveals Mystic Carrion hid his heart inside Thrumbo.
Destroy the Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Brain
“Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Brain” is inside a corpse lying on a table in the same room. Attack it from a distance to destroy it.
Destroy the Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Heart
Head back to Thrumbo Hideout and Tell him that Mystic Carrion’s heart is inside him. He’ll vomit the heart. Attack it from a distance to destroy it.
Kill Mystic Carrion & take Torch of Revocation
Return to Philgrave’s Mansion after the heart has been removed to face Mystic Carrion there. He won’t be able to restore himself without his heart and you can kill him easily.
