Nakajima Ice Cave Shrine Puzzle & How to Reach Hideout | Ghost of Yotei

In Ghost of Yotei, the Nakajima Ice Cave Shrine Puzzle is a mysterious and visually stunning challenge that must be completed to access the Teshio Ridge region. This guide will explain how to complete the Nakajima Ice Cave Shrine Puzzle step-by-step and show you how to reach the hidden hideout that lies beyond.

How To Open The Door To The Nakajima Ice Cave

When you reach the location of the Nakajima Hideout, you’ll find a locked door. To unlock the door at the Nakajima Hideout, you need to rotate the two fox statues on either side of the entrance so that they are facing away from each other. Once the statues are rotated correctly, a small hidden door will open at the base, allowing you to crawl inside.

Reach Nakajima Ice Cave Hideout

Once you enter the cave, keep moving forward and take a left turn just before the big brazier.

Look up above and you will see a wooden beam. Use your grappling hook to climb it.

Carefully jump along the beam to reach a higher platform where several candles are lit near the wall. From this location, begin climbing the right-side wall. Use your grappling hook to reach a wooden platform, then continue climbing to the top, where you will find a fox statue.

Rotate the fox 180 degrees so it faces into the cavern. Once rotated, ropes will shoot out of the walls. Use the rope to cross the gap to the next area.

Here, you will see two fox statues with lanterns hanging from their mouths and a smaller fox statue in the middle. Pull the chain hanging from the small fox statue’s mouth, and a ladder will drop down.

Climb the ladder, then scale the left wall to reach the top. From here, you can exit the cave.

Reach the Altar of Reflection

Outside, defeat the guard, then head to the middle platform with a brazier. Go behind the brazier and you will find two fox statues. Rotate both statues to face each other, which will cause a rope to shoot out from behind them, allowing you to cross the gap.

After crossing, move to the left, jump across the wooden pillars, and finally reach the Altar of Reflection.
