This guide shows how to complete the “Of Robed Men and Ransoms” Side Quest in chapter 7 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, which was released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location
To begin the subquest, go to the North Corel Community Noticeboard or Dr. Sheiran Clinic. Speak with Dr. Sheiran, and he will inform you that one of his patients has been kidnapped, and the kidnappers are demanding money for his release. He wants the player to locate the abducted patient.
Follow Red’s Lead
Leave Dr. Sheiran Clinic and start to follow Red. Defeat the fiends you’ll face along the journey. After two battles, you will come to a campground with a guy sitting next to a bonfire.
Track Down the Chocobo Carriage
Follow Red again to find an abandoned chocobo carriage near a cave.
The UV flashlight will automatically activate in the game. Use the UV flashlight to reveal the markings of the robed men near the carriage.
Investigate the Cave
Follow these markings as you make your way inside the cave. Follow the track until you fight two monsters (Chimera). After defeating them, proceed further until you reach a locked door.
Open the Shutter
From the locked door, go to your right side up the ramp and activate the switch to power on the rotating grapple points.
Use grappling hook throws to grab onto the spinning platforms and use them to go to the opposite corner.
Climb across the yellow ledges on the wall and activate the next switch to open the shutter.
Rescue the Robed Man
Enter the room and look for signs of a robbery until you locate two people: a robed guy and a young woman. You can select to ask them a few questions.
These two are merely thieves. Regardless of the response, you will encounter a Dark Claw.
Once you defeat Dark Claw, the robed guy will emerge. Speak with him, and you will be sent back to Dr. Sheiran Clinic, where the quest will conclude.
