The Painting Workshop is a special area you can explore in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It’s part of the game’s big world, called The Continent. In this guide, we’ll help you solve puzzles, find hidden secrets, and get through all the tricky parts in the Painting Workshop.
Where to Start
You’ll first find a painting workshop portal shortly after unlocking the ability to swim. Head to the island shown on your map below. Once you swim to the island, go inside the glowing portal. The workshop looks black and white. Inside the workshop, you’ll need to parkour carefully by jumping and running across platforms.

Painting #1: Light of the Beast
As you move through the platforms, you’ll meet a faceless boy. Talk to him to receive the Light of the Beast. After receiving the Light of the Beast, make your way down until you reach a giant creature tied to glowing strings. Give the item to the beast, then exit through the portal on the right to continue your journey.

Painting #2: Color of the Beast
After the Forgotten Battleground, head toward Monaco Station, where you’ll find another painting portal, as shown on the map below. Step inside and carefully parkour your way across the platforms to reach a large canvas. There, you’ll meet another faceless boy who gives you the Color of the Beast.

Continue making your way down through the platforms until you reach the beast again, and give it the second item. Once that’s done, exit through the nearby portal on the left near a flag.

Painting #3: Shape of the Beast
The last painting portal is floating high above the land, so you’ll need to unlock flying by defeating the Paintress boss first. Once you have that ability, head to the floating island near the large coliseum and Gestalt Beach, located at the top right of the map.

Enter the final painting portal and parkour across the canvas to meet the faceless boy.

Talk to him to receive the Shape of the Beast, then continue downward and give the final item to the beast to complete the last painting.
