This walkthrough will show you how to all photos of a Strange Rock for the quest “Paleontological Investigation of The Chasm” in Genshin Impact 2.6
Paleontological Investigation of The Chasm
You can start the quest by speak with Khedive (NPC) in the area of The Glowing narrows.
In the quest, Paleontological Investigation in the Chasm, you will be given the task to find and take photo of strange fossils in the Chasm: Underground Mine. I have marked the NPC location in the map below.
All 5 Photo of a Strange Rock Locations
#1 Photos of a Strange Rock
The first photo can be found in the eastern part of the Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel area as marked below. From the nearest teleport waypoint glide south to reach the wooden platform. Defeat all the enemies before you can interact to take the photo.
#2 Photos of a Strange Rock
The second photo can be found in the northern part of the Chasm Main Mining Area as shown below. Teleport yourself to the nearest location and then glide down below to enter the cave through the wooden bridge. Inside the cave, you will have the point to interact and take a photo.

The next photo is located in the Underground Waterway area at the location shown below. It is near a Luxurious Chests. I have marked the location below in the map.
Follow the path going north from the nearest teleport waypoint. Climb up the waterfall and you will notice that the area is a giant circle. You will see some stones that can launch you up in the air.
Use the stone to launch into the air and glide to the other side where you can find a green pillar. Strike the pillar to start a strong wind that can blow you up.
Jump into the wind and ascend to the top to find a luxurious chest. The photo is located in the exact opposite direction of the chest

The fourth photo location can be found in the Nameless Ruins area as marked below marked above. It is south of the previous photo location. From the Teleport waypoint, you need to glide south. Defeat all the enemies before you can interact with the point on the ground to take the photo.
#5 Photos of a Strange Rock
The fifth photo location is on the path heading towards The Glowing Narrows. Just follow the cave path from the teleport waypoint as marked below. The photo location is next to a river and crystal chunks.
