Black Myth Wukong: Prisoner Quest Guide
This guide shows the complete walkthrough of the Prisoner Questline in Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong, released on 20 August 2024. The prisoner is inside one of the prison cells locked by magic purple seals near Pagoda Realm: Lower Pagoda shrine as shown in the picture below. To talk to the prisoner, you will need to unlock the cell first.
1) Defeat Captain Lotus Vision to unlock the cell
The purple magic gates will be unlocked after you defeat the Captain Lotus Vision optional boss. To reach Captain Lotus Vision, travel to the Upper Pagoda shrine. Go inside through the broken wall in front of the shrine and jump down through the broken floor ahead. There you will find Captain Lotus Vision boss as shown in the pictures below. Defeat him to unlock the magic purple gates. If you don’t know how to reach the Upper Pagoda shrine, then click here. Also, absorb the Captain’s spirit.
2) Talk to the Prisoner
Go to Pagoda Realm: Lower Pagoda shrine. The prison cells will be unlocked there now. You will find the prisoner behind one of the cells as shown in the picture below. Talk to him and exhaust all the dialogue options.
3) Defeat Captain Wise Voice
Captain Wise Voice is near Pagoda Realm: Mani Wheel shrine. I will explain how to reach there from Pagoda Realm: Upper Pagoda shrine. From the Upper Pagoda shrine walk in the direction as shown in the picture below.
Soon you will reach a wooden beam. Walk on it to gross the gap in the ground. Then go inside through the entrance shown in the picture below. Climb up the staircase there to reach the top. Then proceed ahead and go out through the hole in the wall on the left side. Proceed ahead and soon you will reach a wooden staircase as shown in the second picture below. Use it to climb to the top. Then turn around and proceed ahead to reach the Mani Wheel shrine.
Climb up the rocks near the Mani Wheel shrine and enter the building ahead to find Captain Wise Voice as shown in the pictures below. Defeat him and absorb his spirit.
4) Absorb Spirit of Captain Void Illusion
Travel to Valley of Ecstasy: Longevity Road shrine as shown in the picture below.
From the shrine, go in the direction shown in the picture below. Soon you will reach the body of Captain Void Illusion as shown in the second picture below. Absorb his spirit.
5) Defeat Captain Kalpa Wave
Travel to Valley of Ecstasy: Longevity Road shrine. From the shrine, go in the direction shown in the picture below. Soon you will reach Captain Kalpa Wave as shown in the second picture below. Defeat him and absorb his spirit.
6) Give the Spirits to the Prisoner
Go back to the prisoner and talk to him. This will complete the quest and you will get Chubai Spearhead. Use it to craft Chu-Bai Spear.
