This guide shows how to complete the “Promises to Keep” Side Quest in chapter 10 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location
Head to the “Flight of Vagrancy” in Cosmo Canyon to find Guard (NPC) by the wooden bridge. Speak to him, and he will inform you that a Gi has been sighted in the canyon basin.
Track down the Gi
After starting the quest, travel to the northern part of the Cosmo Canyon region. The location is marked on the map. There will be a cart with Gi Spectres. Approach the cart and defeat the possessed Skeeskees.
Pursue the Gi Spectres
Follow the Spectres to the northwest from where you are and battle the possessed Desert Sahagins.

Follow the Spectres to the west direction from where you are and battle the possessed Desert Sahagins.
Pursue the Gi Spectres
Follow the Spectres in the west direction. Defeat the powerful Irasceros enemy. This enemy is resistant to physical and magical attacks due to its shield. To remove the shield, use Subversion Materia (Breach Spell). Defeat Irasceros to end the quest.
