Rarely Affectionate (Part 2) Quest | Honkai: Star Rail

This article will guide you on how to complete all objectives of the quest “Rarely Affectionate (Part 2)” in the game Honkai: Star Rail. Rarely Affectionate (Part 2) is a Companion Mission and the second mission in Clara’s quest chain.

How to complete Rarely Affectionate Part 2 quest in Honkai Star Rail


Starting Location

The player can begin the quest by talking to Clara at Robot Settlement on Jarilo-VI. Read Clara’s text message a day after completing Rarely Affectionate (Part 1), and after completing Sinners Misled, Credence Falsified. 

Head to the machine graveyard with Clara to look for a suitable shell’

Head to Svarog’s Base Anchor Base and use the elevator to go down. Accompanied by Clara, proceed to the machine graveyard to search for an appropriate shell and converse with the Automaton Direwolf robot.

Defeat the robot.

Return to Svarog’s Base and fix Pascal

After fighting an Automaton Direwolf and finding a suitable shell, it’s time to head back to Svarog’s Base. After installing Pascal’s internals into the Direwolf Shell, return to Svarog’s Base. Due to incompatibility issues, Pascal will flee to Rivet Town. Chase Pascal to Rivet Town and investigate where he’s gone.

Follow Pascal, who had run away

Accompanied by Clara, head to Rivet Town and discover that Pascal has been assaulted by an Automaton Grizzly, which confused Pascal for a Fragmentun Creature. Defeat the Grizzly to acquire its shell, which can be used for Pascal.

Follow Pascal

Pascal will ask you and Clara to follow them to their workshop.

Investigate the Tempering Workshop

Investigate the handwritten notes and the locker at the workshop.

Continue investigating

Interact with the locker.

Return to the Base with Clara

Return to the base and convince Clara or Svarog to take up the other’s plan and decide on Pascal’s fate. Once informed of Pascal’s situation, Svarog, and Clara will have conflicting opinions on what course of action to take. They will leave the decision of Pascal’s fate to the Trailblazer

Once you’ve decided whether to install a protective program or reformat Pascal, the quest will be over.
